If I had a chance to gander at what would be the most misinterpreted Scripture, I would render a guess that these two words would at least be in the top five: "Judge not."
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure”. - Philippians 2:13-14
J.I. Packer, in his introduction to John Owen's The Death of Death in the Death of Christ, offers this:
"God saves sinners . . ."
Christians have always been curious about the End Times. It's part of our nature to be curious about such things. Even Jesus' closest followers asked about the end of the age. . .
"Woman, how divine your mission Here upon our natal sod! Keep, oh, keep the young heart open Always to the breath of God!"
John 20:24-28 Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it." A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God"
