The enemy of the believer, also God's enemy is both the chief tempter and main adversary of the Elect of God. As tempter, he tries to get us to commit evil. As adversary, he accuses and opposes us in various areas of their lives in order to frustrate and render inneffective our labor for the Lord. The following is an extract from the teachings of J.  He is Strong
